Family Music for Babies (newborn to 18 months) |
This curriculum introduces playful musical activities to help the baby and parent or caregiver to bond. As the teacher, you will play the role of a coach, teaching parents many ways they can play musically with their babies. You will lead musical activities such as bouncing and rocking songs, wiggle and peek-a-boo games, singing, dancing, and moving.
Your instruction benefits the child in a myriad of ways, including nurturing a bond of love and security, increasing a child's natural curiosity about music, and developing a child's listening skills as well as a sense of flow and beat through movement. You will also provide a model for the adult, helping him or her to understand the importance of musical play in daily life.
